Racers Edge Motorsports Announces Jim Pattin as Team Manager, Jon Mirachi Retires After 35 Years

Racers Edge Motorsports is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Pattin as Team Manager, following the retirement of Jon Mirachi, who steps down after an accomplished 35-years at the helm of the team.

Jon Mirachi has been instrumental in shaping Racers Edge Motorsports after founding the team in 1990, then guiding the organization to success in many facets of the racing industry. He leaves behind a legacy defined by dedication and leadership to the racing community. Under his direction, the team has collected over 100 race wins and 12 championships, along with a whole host of other accomplishments.

With Mirachi’s retirement, Jim Pattin takes on the role of Team Manager, bringing extensive experience and proven leadership to the position. Pattin has been a vital part of Racers Edge Motorsports for over 20 years, contributing to various roles within the team, as a mechanic, engineer, fabricator, gearbox technician and shop manager. In the two decades of his career, Pattin participated in Racers Edge Motorsports’ programs in a variety of series, including Pro Formula Mazda, Grand-Am, Continental Tire SportsCar Series, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Pirelli World Challenge GT4, and GT World Challenge America. His tenure as lead race engineer is marked by a steady presence in the team’s notable accomplishments, including one of the most successful Acura NSX GT3 programs in the world. Pattin has expressed a strong commitment to continuing the legacy of success and excellence that Jon Mirachi has built over the years, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of motorsports.

“I have no doubt I’m leaving the team in very capable hands. Jim has the knowledge and skill set to lead Racers Edge Motorsports to continued success, and he has experience in every aspect of the paddock and the race shop,” said Jon Mirachi. “During his career with the team, he has grown beyond just a brilliant engineer but has also been an integral part of all aspects of our championship seasons.”

“It is a privilege to take on the role of Team Manager and to build on the foundation that Jon Mirachi has established,” said Jim Pattin. “Racers Edge Motorsports has a strong tradition of striving for excellence, and I look forward to working with the team, our customers, and Aston Martin Racing to continue that legacy.”

Mirachi will temporarily remain in an advisory role with Racers Edge Motorsports, providing guidance and support as the team transitions into this new chapter, while stepping back from a trackside presence and daily operations.
