SRO America is proud to announce the 2026 provisional race calendar for the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS championship, featuring seven rounds at premier North American circuits. The upcoming season will also introduce a new 3-hour race format, marking an exciting evolution in the series’ history.

Building on over three decades of SRO Motorsports Group’s leadership in global GT racing and 35 years of continuous sports car competition in America, GT World Challenge America will usher in a new chapter for professional GT3 racing in 2026. The expanded race format and thoughtfully structured event weekends reflect SRO’s commitment to delivering world-class competition while optimizing the trackside experience for teams, drivers, and fans alike. 

Provisional 2026 GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS Calendar

  • Round 1: Sonoma Raceway — March 27-29, 2026
  • Round 2: Circuit of The Americas — April 24-26, 2026
  • Round 3: Sebring International Raceway — May 15-17, 2026
  • Round 4: TBA — June 12-14, 2026
  • Round 5: TBA — August 28-30, 2026
  • Round 6: Barber Motorsports Park — September 25-27, 2026
  • Round 7: Indianapolis Motor Speedway — October 8-10, 2026

Two event locations will be confirmed at a later date, completing a dynamic calendar that blends legendary tracks with world-class facilities.

Maximize Time at the Track, Minimize Time Away from Home

Next year, all GT World Challenge America races will run to a true 3-hour duration, bringing strategy, stamina, and teamwork to the forefront. This change aligns the American championship with global endurance traditions while maintaining the sprint-style intensity that fans and competitors have come to know and love from SRO America.

The extended race length will demand greater collaboration between co-drivers, add a strategic layer to pit stop execution, and showcase the durability and performance of cutting-edge GT3 machinery from the world’s leading automotive marques. Capping off the season is the Indy 8 Hour, an eight-hour endurance classic and a staple in the SRO America calendar. Teams will benefit from increased track time, and fans can look forward to more immersive race weekends, with every event structured as a true three-day format.
