- CrowdStrike enters its third year as title sponsor of world’s biggest GT3 race
George Kurtz and CrowdStrike Racing are returning to the world’s biggest GT3 race – the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa – in pursuit of another class victory. For the second consecutive year, Kurtz will team with Colin Braun, Nicky Catsburg and Ian James to defend their Pro-Am title in the No. 04 CrowdStrike Mercedes-AMG GT3, entered by SPS automotive.
The quartet – reunited after a strong performance in last month’s official Spa 24 Prologue test – is aiming for a second-straight Pro-Am victory. Together, they bring experience, consistency, and winning chemistry to one of the most challenging races in global motorsport.
This year’s edition of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa features a record-braking 76-car grid, with all entries built to GT3 specifications. The action begins Saturday, June 28, and runs for a full 24 hours around the iconic 21-turn, 4.35 mile Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Kurtz is no stranger to success at Spa. In addition to last year’s Pro-Am victory, he captured the Bronze class victory in 2022, solidifying his reputation as a formidable competitor in endurance racing.
As CrowdStrike celebrates its third year as title sponsor, the Spa 24 continues to be a powerful platform to reach new audiences across Europe and around the world. The race’s century-old legacy of speed, strategy and innovation aligns perfectly with CrowdStrike’s core values: elite performance, technical excellence and relentless innovation.
The 2025 race will feature entries from 10 manufacturers, including 12 Mercedes-AMG GT3s. The No. 04 CrowdStrike entry stands out, not only on the track but also as the centerpiece of the official event poster, marking another milestone in CrowdStrike’s growing presence in global motorsport.
The 2025 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa takes place June 25-29, with full race and qualifying coverage available on SRO Motorsports’ official YouTube channel.
CrowdStrike No. 04 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Driver Quotes
George Kurtz: “Last year’s class win was a hard-fought battle that tested every part of our team – from strategy to execution. It's great to return with Ian, Nicky and Colin. We have high expectations in what will be a very busy and challenging race. Spa is one of the toughest endurance events in the world, and we’re ready to give it everything we’ve got to defend our title."
Colin Braun: “I’m really looking forward to defending our Pro-Am win in this year’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. Driving with this crew is always a blast. We all get along so well and with our success in the past, we are fully focused on winning this huge event again! I know SPS has been working hard to prepare us a really strong car, so I cannot wait to get to rip around through the forest in Spa!”
Nicky Catsburg: "I always say that the Spa 24 Hours is the most intense 24-hour race in the world. It's more intense than Le Mans, more intense than Nurburgring, more intense than Daytona... just because of the sheer amount of cars in the same class. They all want to pass you and they all want fight you. You never have a clean track. It's super, super intense and you have to be on it for all 24 hours. The car felt great on the Test Day and competing again with George, Ian and Colin is something I'm looking forward to."
Ian James: “I’m looking forward to competing at Spa again and going for another win. George, Colin, Nicky and I work really well together, and I feel like we have one of the stronger lineups in Pro-Am. This race is going to be very tough with the huge field. Managing the traffic and keeping our car clean will be the key to this race.”
